Scrapbook memories with Traveling Juliet
Amelia Hollinger, a second year Daisy from Morgan Hill, CA in Troop 61353. This Traveling Girl Scout when to Raleigh, North Carolina to visit Amelia's aunt and uncle. Amelia's aunt put together a beautiful scrapbook to chronicle her visit. I have taken photos of each of the pages of the scrapbook as well as up close photos of the journaling on each page.

Around the World
Traveling
Girl Scout discovered that the world is small even if the states and countries
are far apart. She thought the world was really big.
Traveling
Girl Scout connected with my family by traveling to Australia for a
visit. She also visited many countries on Thinking Day 2012; such as:
Japan, Brazil, China, Portugal, Fiji, Peru, Egypt, Mexico and Ireland.
Traveling
Girl Scout took action in communicating with different people and learned about
their world, language, food and different cultures. She greeted everyone
with a smile and made many new friends.
She
visited the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, San Francisco Chinatown,
NorCAL"S Thinking Day at Alameda County Fairgrounds, sold Girl Scout
Cookies with fellow girls, and had Flat Stanley visit from Kokohead Elementary
School in Hawaii Kai.

A Girl Scout in Every Way
Aimee Talley, a second year Daisy from Morgan Hill, CA in Troop 61353. This Traveling Girl Scout went to Morgan Hill, CA and Disneyland. She spent time with our family and Daisy troop.The Traveling Girl Scout spent time with our Daisy Troop and did many activities with them. She helped sell cookies at our cookie booth, she attended our Service Unit World Thinking day events, and she attended our 100th Anniversary Town Square Celebration.
The Traveling Girl Scout connected with friends and family by going on a nature walk, helping to walk the dog, going to Disneyland and experiencing a Chinese New Year celebration with Disney Characters, and ran a 5K race through the Disneyland Resort.
The Traveling Girl Scout took action to make the world a better place by participating in Earth Hour, as part of Troop 61353’s Forever Green Take Action Project.

Traveling Girl Scout does some good deeds!
Kaitlyn Silva, a
second year Daisy from Morgan Hill, CA in Troop 61353. This Traveling

The
Traveling Girl Scout discovered that each of us can make a difference in the
world by doing “little things” that make our community a better place and have
a loving family by staying in touch with each other. We took the
Traveling Girl Scout to the library with us.
The
Traveling Girl Scout went to Modesto and along with some family and friends,
celebrated Sue’s birthday. She connected with the community by helping
pick up trash so we can keep it a beautiful place to live.
The
Traveling Girl Scout went on a 5k walk with us to benefit the Lou Gehrig
Fund. The money collected will go to help find a cure for this
disease.

Illinois
Cassidy Quam, a
second year Daisy from Morgan Hill, CA in Troop 61353. This Traveling
Girl Scout when to Rockford, IL.
The Traveling
Girl Scout discovered what a nice friendly community Rockford is. She
visited a playground build by an organization in Rockford that build
playgrounds for kids all over the world. She also went to a
conservatory to see beautiful flowers and took a walk on a bike path along the
river.
The Traveling
Girl Scout also helped get ready for a Kids Around the World
Fundraiser. She went to work and put together a cookie basket for a
raffle to help raise money for playground equipment for kids in 3rd
world countries.

The Traveling
Girl Scout discovered Disneyland, new friends, Jewelry, Victoria Gardens, and
art work. Not to mention a few celebs like Mulan and the Panda from Panda
Express!
The Traveling
Girl Scout when to a jewelry party and met new friends in the community.
She went on all family trips and went to a Super Bowl party where she met even
more new friends.
The Traveling
Girl Scout helped recycle bottles and cans to make the world a better place
with less waste.
Ontario, Canada

The Traveling Girl Scout learned about Micro-mini pigs and
about the explorer, Samuel de Champlain coming to Canada.
The Traveling Girl Scout visited a retirement home and a
nursing/long term care home.
The Traveling Girl Scout spent time with some older people
in the retirement and nursing homes that do not have many visitors and helped
sere tea and cookies to them. It made many of them happy to have
visitors.

The Traveling Girl Scout discovered that people from all
over the United States and even from around the world were present to watch the
NCAA basketball play-offs.
The Girl Scout accompanied us to all the NCAA games, riding
on the train, standing in the rain and jumping up and down in the arena during
a particular game.
All of us, along with the Traveling Girl Scout, put on our
friendly faces and treated all the people we met with kindness just as we would
have liked to have been treated in return.
