Fort Worth, Texas

This submission is for Aimee Talley, a second year Daisy from Morgan Hill, CA in Troop 61353.  This Traveling Girl Scout when to Fortworth, TX and spent time with another Daisy troop there.

The Traveling Girls Scout enjoyed her time with Troop 1190 and they enjoyed her.  She especially liked our field trip to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens butterfly exhibit where she saw live butterflies from Asia, Africa, Central, South and North America.

The Traveling Girl Scout learned that there are Girl Scout troops just like hers in California.  This reinforces the part of the Girl Scout law “Be a sister to Every Girl Scout”.

She helped make the world a better place by taking part in Troop 1190’s community service projects.  Troop 1190 collected old tennis shoes for the Nike Reuse a Shoe program, plus pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House.  The highlight of her trip was helping Troop 1190 make Hershey Rose Bud Kisses for the patients and residents of the Whitley House.
